Major structural projects

Sustainable mobility

We strongly believe that a comprehensive approach is essential for developing transportation infrastructure in our community. Through an ambitious sustainable mobility project—backed by a clear plan and a new committee with a broad perspective—we can tackle key challenges: reducing walking distances to essential services, creating safe and well-marked school corridors, ensuring continuous and secure cycling routes, making public transit more reliable and attractive, promoting carpooling, and designing urban roads that calm traffic. By fostering this intermodal approach, we can make it easier for everyone to choose the transportation option that best meets their needs.

Social and affordable housing

Our community should welcome every individual and family who wants to live here. To strengthen our social fabric, we are committed to creating affordable and social housing for families, people with reduced mobility, and our growing student population. Opportunities like redeveloping the Municipal Workshops site on Valois, with potential for over 200 housing units, are key. We also aim to acquire existing buildings to build a municipal housing portfolio that fosters social diversity while protecting it from real estate market pressures.

Innovative health hub

The new hospital will be the centerpiece of a major Health Hub for our municipality and the entire region. With smart urban planning, we can create complementary commercial, industrial, and institutional spaces that drive regional growth. From traffic and mental health to homelessness and community services, we must proactively address the impacts the hospital will bring. This economic development initiative must be championed by our elected leaders and supported by key partners.

Flood protection infrastructure

With over 20 km of waterfront, Vaudreuil-Dorion needs an effective flood protection plan. Flooding affects not only homeowners in vulnerable areas but the entire city, putting infrastructure and public safety at risk. We will advocate for permanent flood protection measures and ensure that temporary mitigation efforts by property owners are recognized by insurers, banks, and government agencies. Concrete action is essential to prevent future social and economic crises.

Harwood (PPU) and Highway 20

Reconfiguring Highway 20 is crucial for the continued development of our community and for the quality of life in the neighborhood.

While the relocation of Highway 20 is still underway, it is essential to continue implementing the vision of the Sur Harwood Urban Development Plan, focusing on public transit and mixed-use development to recreate a genuine downtown-style living environment. Together, we must improve the quality of life for our citizens and ensure safe movement between our businesses and residences. In this regard, we need to support our entrepreneurs and become a positive regional leader.
