Vaudreuil-Dorion is growing and transforming. We choose to act now for a harmonious, connected, and resilient city that protects its gains. This also means preserving, maintaining, and optimizing our assets before building new ones. Our 2025–2045 vision is based on three simple but demanding pillars.
Governance that combines citizen participation with transparency in decision-making to build greater trust in the City and its representatives, drawing on the expertise of residents, entrepreneurs, organizations, and public servants.
Land use planning that, through rigorous planning and action plans focuses on the collective well-being, supports the development of housing, efficient public services, greater mobility, and integrated green spaces for a coherent and sustainable living environment.
Accessible, varied services for residents, reflected in a vibrant cultural scene, unique gathering places, inclusive sports and community facilities, a cohesive park network, and celebrated heritage.
Our team proposes a governance model directly connected to residents, fostering participation, trust, and the co-construction of collective projects.
Living in Vaudreuil-Dorion means access to high-quality cultural offerings and a rich heritage we take pride in. We also believe residents’ well-being, from ages 0 to 110, is enhanced by the availability, quality, and accessibility of sports, leisure, and community activities.
We want to build a harmonious, connected, and resilient city, capable of adapting to economic and climate changes. A city that plans for the future with a long-term, comprehensive vision, that aims to meet the current and projected needs of its population.
While prioritizing the maintenance of existing assets in line with residents’ ability to pay, we believe new projects are needed to build a more connected city that can handle challenges linked to the new hospital and transportation reconfiguration.
