Marie Camita CÉLESTIN
Marie Camita Célestin, 54, mother of three adults.
Originally from Haiti, Marie Camita grew up in Quebec and has worked with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. Deeply committed to women’s rights, the fight against domestic violence, and suicide prevention, she is cheerful, straightforward, and dynamic. She now wishes to put these qualities to use in fulfilling her lifelong dream of entering politics: uniting cultures, supporting local businesses, and building a harmonious and sustainable vision for Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Maëlys EOUANI
Maëlys Eouani, 20, respiratory therapist at CHU Ste-Justine.
This young woman, whose parents are of Congolese origin, grew up in Vaudreuil-Dorion, where she put down roots. A former student leader and active member of several clubs, Maëlys wants to represent the voice of young adults and teenagers. Dynamic and sincere, she believes in an inclusive city where everyone can thrive. Her desire to get more involved is a testament to the positive influence she will bring to the city council.
Jasmine SHARMA
Jasmine Sharma, 46, mother of two teenage daughters.
A city councillor since 2017, Jasmine has distinguished herself through her citizen participation initiatives and her ability to develop innovative solutions adapted to local realities. A public relations specialist, passionate about public policy, and the daughter of a Québécoise mother and a father of Indian origin, she consistently defends the values of equity, respect, and diversity. Her leadership has led her to advance major issues, notably in environment, active transportation, and ethics. She is also one of the co-founders of Inspire Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Benoit GIGUÈRE
Benoît Giguère, 44, father of three daughters.
A union representative for 20 years, Benoît wants to leverage his experience in listening to people's concerns and representing their interests to defend the needs of the community. Attentive to the issues of his neighborhood, he seeks to improve citizens’ quality of life. His commitment to the common good, his sense of social justice, and his desire to strengthen public services make him an ideal representative to ensure the city’s harmonious development.
Éric GIRARD
Eric Girard, 52, father of three daughters.
A committed communicator, Eric approaches community challenges with calm, ethics, and respect, always seeking effective solutions. His qualities have been put to use on several non-profit boards, both in socio-community and cultural sectors. A seasoned entrepreneur, his management experience and deep concern for collective well-being make him a valuable asset to represent citizens on city council.
Sheldon BURGOA
Sheldon Burgoa Calazana, 35, father of one son.
Son of Bolivian parents, Sheldon is a businessman and company manager who wants to contribute to innovative projects in the region. Already involved as a volunteer in supporting local non-profit organizations, he also provides space for community groups and small businesses. His creativity and experience in economic development will be put to work for a prosperous and inclusive city.
Vanessa LEDUC
Vanessa Leduc, 35, mother of two boys.
A paralegal in a business law firm, Vanessa has enriched her background with university studies in mental health and human resources management. Born and raised in Vaudreuil-Dorion, she is deeply attached to her city. An engaged mom and passionate about law and municipal politics, she knows her neighborhood inside and out and is ready to take on regional challenges with competence and integrity.
Marie-Claude NOLIN
Marie-Claude Nolin, 58, grandmother through her husband’s children.
A recent retiree from the education sector, Marie-Claude dedicated over 35 years to developing the skills of students and school staff. She also co-founded the Regroupement des citoyens riverains du Québec in response to the concerns and questions of citizens affected by the proposed regulation on water environments and flood protection structures. Recognized for her ability to explain complex issues, she now wishes to put her listening, analytical, and communication skills to work for the citizens of District 8 – De la Baie and beyond.
